Dr. Brust is a specialist in the field of orthodontics. He received his dental degree from the University of Minnesota and his specialty/master's degree from the University of Michigan. Dr. Brust was awarded the 1993 Milo Hellman Award, which is given for the top orthodontic research project in the nation. He is a current member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Washtenaw District Dental Society, Michigan Dental Association and the Michigan Association of Orthodontics.

Dr. Brust has a wife, Cheryl, and three children: Tucker, Mika and Zane. In his free time, he is a fanatical sports fan who enjoys snow and water skiing, boating and coaching soccer, baseball and hockey.
