We're always excited about meeting our new patients. Our objective is to makes your visits with us pleasant and informative. Your first visit will include digital photographs and a digital x-ray, which Dr. Brust will review with you on a large screen computer display. These images are valuable tools for Dr. Brust’s diagnosis and provide you with important dental information and an individualized treatment plan. Upon completion of a thorough examination, Dr. Brust will be able to answer the following Questions:
- Is Orthodontic treatment indicated?
- When is the correct time to begin treatment?
- What treatment options are available?
How long will treatment last?
- How much will treatment cost?
- What are my payment options?
If treatment is indicated at this time, Dr. Brust will discuss treatment options and answer any questions you may have. You can be sure that Dr. Brust will plan your treatment in the same manner that he would use to achieve excellent results for his own children and family.
Treatment Time
The appointment to get your appliances (braces, expander etc.) usually lasts 60-90 minutes. You will then see us for adjustment appointments every 8-10 weeks. Those adjustment appointments are usually 15-30 minutes long.
Depending on factors such as growth and the severity of correction, treatment time could range from one to three years. Cooperation in wearing elastics, keeping teeth clean and taking good care of braces along with keeping your regular scheduled appointments can affect treatment time. Our goal is to create the most functional bite and beautiful smile in a reasonable amount of time.
